First off, I'm just a regular guy. As a kid I was a boy scout in an active troop which did a lot of hiking and camping. As an adult, I served a little over eight years in the United States Army as an infantryman and had the opportunity to work in Long Range Surveillance and serve as a sniper.

So what does this have to do with survival skills? Nothing and everything. In all my experiences, the absolute best survival skill that I learned was believing I can. In any situation, you must believe that you will survive. That attitude coupled with alittle preparation is what will set you apart from the thousands of others who will simply have to hope and pray for help to arrive. "Be Prepared"
